Possessing a familiarity with the fundamentals of personal computer (PC) hardware provides skills to interact with technicians, system supervisors, and system developers. Students learn the design of PC’s by practicing the dismantling, examining and reassembling experimental computers in a supervised laboratory environment. This unit focuses on the students learning and applying the procedures in assembly and disassembly of computer systems. Occupational health and safety practices are essential parts of the unit.
